Hello! I’m Simcha. I live in Missouri on 12 acres with my Aussie born-and-bred husband and three kiddos. I love reading, watching chick flicks, playing piano, sunsets, carbs, exercising, and way too much Facebook scrolling.

A communicator by nature, I write to share the testimonies and inspiration God is giving me while living out the wonderful and not so fun parts of life. I want people to know they are not alone in their experiences. Life can be hard, despite all our dreams and good intentions. But I would love to uplift and encourage others to live more faith-filled and joyful lives right where they are.

My unusual first name is a Hebrew word, meaning “joy”. Which my parents, by divine inspiration, chose to name me. Sometimes it’s felt like a cruel punishment because of the attention it receives and having to repeat myself several times at every introduction (it’s pronounced “Sim-kuh”)… but I’ve embraced it and feel it’s one of my life’s purposes to live up to the full potential of the name given me.

Though I fail every day, I still pick myself up (maybe after a pity party) and press forward in learning how the struggles draw me closer to God, even in the midst of the mundane and pain life can bring.

“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalms 16:11
